He used to have a cat named Chicken.
He now has three dogs — two of which were rescued COVID puppies from ARF.
He prefers tavern-style, thin crust pizza from old-school Chicago spots. (Vito’s and Nick’s is the best).

He once designed a “Mission to Mars” using only Excel spreadsheets.
He likes Dungeons and Dragons.

Like so many others, Steve and his wife, Melissa, have been managing education and extra-curriculars for their three children at Park View and Glen Crest, while trying to keep the house standing and managing both his business and her full-time job. Steve understands the pressures we feel as parents and incorporates ideas for relieving student and parent stress into school district strategy and policy decisions.
