Research-Based Educational Resources
Steve believes that students learn best when they have access to research-based educational resources that are proven to support their growth. He understands that education should be guided by evidence, not ideology, ensuring that every student receives a high-quality, well-rounded education. As a member of the D89 School Board, Steve will prioritize data-driven decision-making to improve student outcomes and ensure that teachers and schools have the best tools available.
Steve commits to the following:
Investing in Research-Based Curriculum: Steve believes that curriculum decisions should be based on proven educational research that enhances literacy, critical thinking, and STEM learning. He will advocate for instructional materials and teaching strategies that are backed by science and best practices.
Supporting Educators with Effective Tools: Steve understands that teachers are most effective when they have access to high-quality resources. He will support professional development opportunities, access to modern classroom tools, and research-backed instructional methods that help educators meet the needs of all students.
Using Data to Drive Decisions: Steve believes that policy decisions should be guided by facts and measurable outcomes. He will work to implement systems that track student progress, assess program effectiveness, and refine educational approaches based on real data—ensuring that resources are used effectively.
Ensuring Equitable Access to High-Quality Resources: Steve recognizes that not all students have the same access to educational tools and support. He is committed to closing opportunity gaps by ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has access to the resources they need to succeed.
Steve’s goal is to make D89 a leader in research-driven education, ensuring that students are prepared for success in an evolving world.
